De Oude Zondagschool (The Old Sunday School) is located in the east of the Netherlands in the beautiful Achterhoek, in the countryside of the village Aalten, near the hamlet "Lintelo". This monument from 1924 has been recently renovated and transformed into a cozy, comfortable and surprisingly spacious year round cottage. It is completely detached with views over the meadows and has a private woods besides the house.
Originally, the small school had two classrooms, now a spacious living area / kitchen. For a long time, it served as a Sunday School for the rural youth. It has been thoroughly and respectfully restored to its traditional character, the history is palpable everywhere. Enjoy the good life sitting the old breakfeast table with beautiful views of meadows and woods. There is comfortable seating furniture and the modern kitchen is fully equipped. In the two cozy bedrooms upstairs, there are five beds of hotel quality. The beds can be arranged to suit as single or double bed. The third small room has a sixth bed. A fine modern bathroom with large shower makes comfort complete. The utility room has a washing machine. For small children there is a high chair, stair gate and cot available.
At the rear there is a spacious terrace. The woods is a wonderful place for children to play. There are two parking spaces and a shed to store bikes, two bikes are ready for you.
